5. Michel de Nostradame
Born in France, in 1503, Michel de Nostradame a.k.a Nostradamus was a physician, astrologer and a fluent speaker of Greek, Latin and Hebrew. And according to his a many thousands of fans, he was also the number one predictor of future. World War II, the Atomic Bomb, assassination of JF Kennedy, the moon landings were all predicted by him in the 16th century. But how did he manage to predict all this and what method he used to see so far of time and space?
According to some, they say he was a 16th century hippie, who would deprive himself of sleep to work for his predictions and then he would use some mild hallucinogenic drug to see into a candle flame and start prognosticating. But Nostradamus claimed to base his published predictions on judicial astrology – the astrological assessment of the quality of expected future developments – but was heavily criticized by professional astrologers of the day such as Laurens Videl for incompetence and for assuming that “comparative horoscopy” (the comparison of future planetary configurations with those accompanying known past events) could predict what would happen in the future. People have been following his predictions for 500 years and even now trying to decode his more prophecies and if his method was right and could be used the right way, we might end up seeing doom too.
4. Precognitive Dreaming
Precognitive Dreaming is the ability to see the future through dreams. In order to see and dream the future, this ability requires the user to be unconscious. It is not known, however, if the user can activate this ability at will.
The dreams, as dreams tend to be, are open to interpretation. There appear to be more often then not slight differences between the dream and the actual events. Whether this is related to dreams not being entirely literal, the future constantly changing, how far in the future the events take place, or simply a natural consequence of the power is unknown. At the same time the dreams can be very accurate in relation to actual events. There are no known limits as to how far into the future the dreams can reach. The amount of detail that users of this ability are able to retain after waking up depends if the dream was during Rapid Eye Movement (REM) Sleep or not. These dreams are also held to be vulnerable to telepathic assaults.
3. Chiromancy
Chiromancy – known as palmistry us, is the art of characterization and foretelling the future through the study of the palm, also called as chirology. The practice was found all over the world, with numerous cultural variations and even now. Palmistry can trace its roots back to India. From India, the art of palmistry spread to China, Tibet, Egypt, Persia and to other countries in Europe. From China, palmistry progressed to Greece where Anaxagoras practiced it. However, modern palmists often combine traditional predictive techniques with psychology, holistic healing, and alternative methods of divination also.
Chiromancy consists of the practice of evaluating a person’s character or future life by “reading” the palm of that person’s hand. Various “lines” (“heart line”, “life line”, etc.) and “mounts” (or bumps), purportedly suggest interpretations by their relative sizes, qualities, and intersections. In some traditions, readers also examine characteristics of the fingers, fingernails, fingerprints and palmar skin patterns (dermatoglyphics), skin texture and color, shape of the palm, and flexibility of the hand. A reader usually begins by reading the person’s ‘dominant hand’ – the hand he or she writes with or uses the most – sometimes considered to represent the conscious mind, whereas the other hand is subconscious. In some traditions of palmistry, the other hand is believed to carry hereditary or family traits, or, depending on the palmist’s cosmological beliefs, to convey information about past-life or karmic conditions.
There has been widely accepted research verifying palmistry’s accuracy as a system of character analysis, but so far no conclusive evidence has been provided to support a connection between the lines of the palm and a person’s character beyond what could be deduced from analyzing that the person suffered from a chromosomal disorder or belonged to a certain statistical group based on their digit ratio.
2. Animals Foreseeing Abilities
Animals are everywhere, but could the secret of understanding them is beyond human’s perception? Well perhaps, because there is a strong evolutionary link between the animals responding and sensing to disasters in advance like getting out of the way but we have no idea that how they are doing this. The belief that animals can predict earthquakes has been around for centuries. In 373 B.C., historians recorded that animals, including rats, snakes and weasels, deserted the Greek city of Helice in droves just days before a quake devastated the place.
Accounts of similar animal anticipation of earthquakes have surfaced across the centuries since. Catfish moving violently, chickens that stop laying eggs and bees leaving their hive in a panic have been reported. Countless pet owners claimed to have witnessed their cats and dogs acting strangely before the ground shook—barking or whining for no apparent reason, or showing signs of nervousness and restlessness. But precisely what animals sense, if they feel anything at all, is a mystery. One theory is that wild and domestic creatures feel the Earth vibrate before humans. Other ideas suggest they detect electrical changes in the air or gas released from the Earth.
An elephant trumpets wildly, breaks a chain holding it to a tree, and flees to higher ground — just before a massive tsunami crashes ashore, drowning hundreds of thousands of people. Did the elephant know the deadly wave was coming? In interviews with scientists and eyewitnesses, evidence is seen that some animals may have senses that allow them to predict impending natural disasters long before we can.
Some creatures, for instance, may be able to “hear” infrasound, — sounds produced by natural phenomena, including earthquakes, volcanoes, and storms, that are inaudible to the human ear. This ability may give elephants and other animals enough time to react and flee to safety. Another explanation may lie in animals’ sensitivities to electromagnetic field variations. Quantum geophysicist Motoji Ikeya has found that certain animals react to changes in electrical currents. He now regularly monitors a catfish, the most sensitive of the creatures he has tested, to aid him in warning others of coming disaster.
1. The Big Crunch Theory
Who would have thought that looking at the stars would give so much information about our origins and future. Hats off to the ancient egyptians, who invented writing and made pyramids. Even the earliest astronomers were born in that period. They learned cosmology when they started tracking the movements of stars to predict the annual outcome of Nile.
And even 5000 years later, this is of help. The theory holds that life and events may replicate itself exactly in some distant future as they have happened in past or present. And the theory is known as the Big Crunch. For this, first we would have to go back to beginning of time itself, the universe started with a big bang which is referred to as time zero that marks the beginning of all (this happened 14 billion years ago) and then it continued to expand and this rate of expansion is accelerating, according to the Einstein’s theory, this expanding would reach a turning point and then collapsing again of which we can think of a perpetual reversal of time. In this scenario in which universe contracts, all matter heats up once more and comes back to life, and as the universe contracts back to its original size, there will be so much energy inside it – in a confined space – that there will be another big bang and all the matter in the universe would start expanding again, planets would reform, stars will come back to life, and universe and time and all that things would start all over again.
In physical cosmology, the Big Crunch is one possible scenario for the ultimate fate of the universe, in which the metric expansion of space eventually reverses and the universe re-collapses and reforms over and over again.
